Filipinos’ love for foods is incomparable. Despite the three large meals they eat for a day (typically of it which comprise a cup of rice or even add on extra), they still used to take snacks in between. This is where street food took into account. Filipinos like having an easy access to a quick bite anywhere, anytime. So great tons of street foods have developed- some savory, some tasty and some just outright fanciful. But don’t worry, we're here to inform you the good and not-so-expensive Filipino street foods.
Fish ball is one of the trend street foods in the Philippines. Some of it is in flattened shape and others are in round one. A ground-up fish meat combined with flours, it is pre-shaped and in deep-fried by the vendors. To make it tastier a perfect sauce is a good mate. Second, the called “Isaw” it is a chicken intestine that is first cleaned and examined thoroughly, put onto a skewer and the grilled into hot oil then match with its sauce. Mostly students and workers eat this food after classes and works. Third, the Squid balls are just like fish balls, except it is squid meat in flavor and not in fish, and they are more round in shape. A delightful food to eat and enjoyed by a group. Fourth, the so-called “Kwek Kwek” this brightly colored food could be quite deceiving to the buyers. They are round and a vibrant paint of orange, they are quail eggs inside and covered in orange flour and deep fried. It tastes even more delicious with a sauce in pair. Fifth, the “Kikiam”, it was originally taken from Chines cuisine and composed of chopped meat and vegetables. The vendors used ‘Kikiam’ as one the street foods in our country, however, are the more skimped inversion, sometimes it contains fish meat instead and coated of flours. They are brown in color and as size as the finger.
